At New Birmingham, we are proud of our successful track record in maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental sustainability. At our mining and sand quarrying operations, we endeavour to pursue, and surpass, industry best practise, referenced not only to local guidelines, but also benchmarked against our operational management team's wide international experience gained throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Our sustainable business program considers all potential impacts on project stakeholders in both the local and wider communities. We actively manage the minimisation of energy consumption, carbon and particulate emissions, noise disturbance and impacts of truck haulage on public highways.

To date, we have successfully completed a number of reclamation initiatives at our iron ore operations, including conditioning and re-seeding of land disturbed and left by previous owners. Being cognizant of our responsibility to environmental management, we have also drafted plans to remediate the impact of earth-moving operations on our properties, such as landscaping and subsequent redevelopment as recreational facilities.
